Right before the holiday season last year, twenty members of the BWI Warren team volunteered at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s Medbury location in Detroit. The group was divided into two sessions to hand out packages of meals that included turkeys, milk, juice, canned vegetables, potatoes, oranges, pies, and cleaning supplies. At the end of the day, the team served nice meals for the holidays to nearly 500 families! The day wrapped up with our team giving Capuchin Soup Kitchen a donation of $42,484, which was raised from our annual golf outing!
Our team truly enjoyed helping and seeing all the smiling faces while wishing everyone Happy Holidays! It was a wonderful and rewarding day of camaraderie, love, and kindness. We are all proud and thankful to be part of this BWI family and what it is capable of! It was truly humbling to witness firsthand the impact that we could make on so many lives!
We would like to extend the greatest THANK YOU to the team at Capuchin Franciscan Province of St. Joseph for all that they do to empower and support our communities. We’d also like to thank them for the incredible opportunity to participate in their admirable efforts and we look forward to doing so again next holiday season!
