Bridgewater has given more than $100,000+ in charity donations annually to entities throughout the nation.
Bridgewaterâs senior leadership team is very active on local nonprofit boards, such as First Step and the Skillman Foundation.
In 2015, Bridgewater Interiors became the first black-owned firm to endow a full academic scholarship at the University of Michigan.
In 2019, the company began to fund an endowed full-tuition scholarship at Western Michigan University, alma mater of the companyâs founder.
Since its inception, Bridgewater has made contributing to charitable causes a primary objective. In addition to providing financial support, the company and its employees give of their time at a range of philanthropic events. Company leadership and rank-and-file workers alike often team up to show support for an assortment of charitable and community organizations. A few of the causes to which Bridgewater has provided support include the American Diabetes Association, Detroit PAL, National Association of Black Suppliers Scholarship Fund, United Negro College Fund, Habitat for Humanity, First Step, and a host of other initiatives.
