During Women’s History Month, Bridgewater Interiors proudly partnered with Women in Manufacturing Michigan and our joint venture partner, Adient, to host a Rosie the Riveter–inspired event at our Lansing plant — a day dedicated to celebrating the impact, leadership, and future of women in manufacturing.
Women in Manufacturing Michigan, the only national trade association dedicated to supporting, promoting, and inspiring women in the industry, brought together an incredible community of professionals, allies, and emerging leaders from across the state. The event created a space for connection, learning, and shared inspiration.
The day began with an introduction to both Bridgewater Interiors and Adient, offering attendees insight into our operations, culture, and commitment to advancing opportunities within the manufacturing sector. Guests then participated in a guided plant tour, where Bridgewater team members showcased their roles, shared their experiences, and highlighted the innovation and craftsmanship that drive our work every day.
A highlight of the event was the engaging Q&A session, where attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, hear personal career journeys, and gain valuable perspectives on navigating and growing within the industry. The conversations reflected both the challenges and the exciting opportunities that exist for women in manufacturing today.
The event served as a powerful reminder of the legacy of the original “Rosie the Riveters” — women who stepped into manufacturing roles during a pivotal time in history — and honored the many women who continue to shape the future of the industry. It was especially inspiring to see the Women in Manufacturing and ally community come together in one space, united by a shared commitment to progress and empowerment.
