Adient and joint venture partner Bridgewater Interiors (BWI) recently received recognition in the 2020 J.D. Power U.S. Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study in two different vehicle categories — Mass Market Midsize/Large SUV and Mass Market Truck/Van.
The 2020 award winners include:
- Bridgewater Interiors — Honda Pilot (1st Place)
- Bridgewater Interiors — Dodge Ram 1500 (1st Place)
- Adient — Nissan Pathfinder (3rd Place)
“Adient is committed to partnering with our customers to create quality products that ensure their satisfaction,” said Jerome Dorlack, vice president, Americas. “This recognition validates those efforts.”
“Bridgewater Interiors is very pleased to receive these prestigious awards for two of our programs,” said Ron Hall, president and CEO of Bridgewater Interiors. “We continually strive for manufacturing excellence and to exceed the expectations of our customers. These awards are validating and will further motivate our ongoing efforts.”
The 2020 U.S. Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study is based on responses from 87,282 purchasers and lessees of new 2020 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. Seat quality is measured by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles during the first 90 days of ownership, with a lower score reflecting higher quality.
The recognized seats were manufactured at Adient’s Murfreesboro, Tennessee (Nissan Pathfinder); BWI’s Oxford, Alabama (Honda Pilot); and BWI’s Warren, Michigan (Dodge Ram 1500), plants. Congratulations to all the teams who worked on these seats.
