Every year during the month of October, also known as #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, our team loves to gather together to raise awareness and to support ending breast cancer. This year, on a rainy Saturday morning, our Lansing, Michigan team participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk. They were determined to raise support and to join the movement uniting communities to end breast cancer as we know it, for everyone.
Those of ACS state that for three decades, these 3- to 5-mile non-competitive walks, like the one that our Lansing team participated in, have collectively grown into the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement – providing a supportive community for courageous breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer thrivers, caregivers, and families alike.
Our team had a wonderful time in the event and appreciated the opportunity to join their greater community in being involved in such a wonderful cause. In fact, the walk is not the end of our Lansing team’s support. The team is also supporting ACS Making Strides for Breast Cancer by selling hoodies of Making Strides and then giving donating the proceeds to the organization.
Together, we at Bridgewater believe we be and support the change that we wish to see in the world. We are the movement. We are hope. We are the future! Big thank you to our entire Lansing team and our Senior Human Resources Generalist, Amy Quintero, for helping to lead this effort and for all you do to support our greater communities!
