Tracy Jones is a Human Resource Manager at Bridgewater Interiors
We want to take this time to recognize our amazing team member, Tracy Jones, who is a Human Resources manager at Bridgewater Interiors. She recently led an extraordinary effort in creating an impactful event to serve and help the homeless called, “Joe Doe Matters Blanket Drive,” at Bridgewater Interiors Detroit facility.
Tracy was inspired to start this initiative after a homeless man was found deceased near the fence line at Bridgewater Detroit, which is the company’s headquarters. After witnessing this tragedy, Tracy was deeply moved to take action in supporting the homeless community in the Metro Detroit area. She enlisted the help of other Bridgewater employees, who were happy to support the cause.
They decided to create positive change by gathering and donating blankets, shoes, socks and toiletries, and more. The UAW Local 600 also supported the effort by donating a number of brand-new sleeping bags. As she witnessed so many people in need come out to receive the donations, Tracy said she was completely humbled and inspired. She hopes the event provided a lasting positive impact on the community.
In the very near future, Tracy and her colleagues plan to continue efforts to provide more assistance to the homeless in Detroit.
